Mary Kay Cosmetics is perhaps one of the most well-known names in color cosmetics industry, and it definitely stands a pantheon above all other legendary cosmetic industries. Designed and created exclusively by that legendary cosmetic expert, Mary Kay, this great company has a worldwide operation, crisscrossing many countries of Europe, North America and Asia.

Its headquarters are situated in Dallas, Texas and currently its annual business turnover exceeds many billions of dollars. This is not just an ordinary cosmetics firm, but also a lifetime experience for millions of people all over the world. It is also a big amalgamation of different and wide ranging services, from products to their unique independent consultancy services. One special thing about this unique industry is its affordable business opportunities, to even those people who do not have any start-up capital.

Its tremendous corporate success and a viable business empire are entirely due to its unique and special corporate culture of using independent business consultants, who specializes in selling their products, as well as liaising with ordinary people to create new partnerships. Mary Kay Cosmetics also relies on a large network that is effective and productive; its large franchisee offices across the continents have provided a successful corporate model.

This company creates a wonderful range of beauty care and cosmetic products that are comparable to any other well known products in the world. If anyone wishes to create their own small business empire, they need not go in search for any other business opportunities other than this great company. With a legendary and great track record, as well as a well established history, its history stretches back to the year 1963, when Mary Kay started her dream child called Mary Kay Cosmetics; with her corporate experience and an undying vision, she was able to create a future business empire, as big as the present day cosmetic giant.

Here are some of the corporate details and relevant milestones of this wonderful company:

• It is the largest, independent cosmetics direct selling entity in the world,
• The present sales figures exceed $2.5 billion,
• Its sales force is an astonishing 2.5 million and it is still growing,
• Mary Kay Cosmetics was the first business concept that involved an idea called “career car”.

Its success is entirely due to a dedicated network of distributors and directors, even though many people never mention this undeniable fact. For example, this cosmetic giant has thousands of dedicated business owners in the state of Georgia, and this group is creating a wonderful business volume for the company. In lieu of their wonderful effort, the company has helped them to grow professionally as well as personally in their life. The incentive offered to them has been tremendous, and nothing can beat the concept of “career car”, which is still a great business concept. In all, Mary Kay Cosmetics is a great business idea that has craved a niche for itself in the world of corporate business.

Clinique makeup has been a popular among women of all ages for years, and it is one of the many lines owned by cosmetic empire Estee Lauder. The brand offers products similar to other lines, including cosmetics, hair care and skin care, but their claim to fame is dermatologist guided cosmetics that are fragrance free and allergy tested. When Clinique first started in 1968 it was the first to categorize skin types and offer skin care solutions based on individual needs. Over the years, they have faced competition from other lines, but at the same time they have established themselves as a highly trusted brand among women.

Clinique’s skin and hair care products have everyone covered. Their skin care line includes makeup remover, cleansers, moisturizers, exfoliators, anti aging creams, and acne treatment. Take off the Day, their cleansing balm, is very unique in itself; basically you spread the balm on your face, and it instantly dissolves any cosmetics you are currently wearing. Used in conjunction with their face towelettes skin is deep cleaned and cosmetics are removed in a snap. Their Dramatically Different moisturizing gel is perfect for those with oily skin. Despite your skin type, it’s important to moisturize daily, and this product makes it possible to do that without clogging the pores or adding extra oil to the skin. As for the hair, it was truly a genius idea for Clinique to create a shampoo fragranced with their best selling perfume, Happy. They also have a small line of styling products, which range from a curl enhancer to a shine serum.

Cosmetics is where Clinique began, and over the years they fail to disappoint. All About Eyes is their newest concealer, and like the name implies, it’s created just for under the eyes. This concealer not only covers dark circles but also decreases puffiness and is specially formulated to not set into creases and fine lines. They’ve got your eyes covered when it comes to color as well, with products such as the Color Surge Eye Shadow Duo. This eye shadow comes in small compact, each with two colors: a light shade and a darker shade, that are made especially for blending and highlighting, so there’s no need to go and match up two different shadows. For the lips, their Superbalm Tinted Lip treatment repairs and hydrates the lips while giving a hint of color.

With so many great products introduced yearly, it’s hard to imagine Clinique taking a dip in popularity anytime soon. No matter what skin type you have, or what kind of look you’re searching for when It comes to cosmetics, Clinique has such a vast product like that every shopper is sure to find something suiting.

Airbrush makeup has been widely used in the movie and entertainment industry for year. Slowly, the process has begun to emerge as an everyday technique for applying makeup. The process is similar to airbrushing a t shirt. The makeup artist uses an instrument that looks like a metal spray can. Instead of spraying paint it sprays makeup, and leaves flawless coverage. The most common everyday use for airbrush makeup is the spray on tan, which has become incredibly popular replacement for regular sun tanning.

Since the suns UV rays can cause thin to age, and possibly get skin cancer, it’s no shock that spray on tans have quickly become a staple at salons and spas. Usually, you will strip down to a swimsuit and a professional will personally spray you with the bronzed shade of your choice. Some spa’s also have misting machines, where you step inside a pod and are sprayed from every angle. The color lasts for two weeks. However, an alternative quickly followed these processes, in the form of an at home spray on tan. TheTanningStore.com sells an at home airbrush tanning system for $145.95. It isn’t cheap, but the package comes with a the spray system, tanning solution and a how-to video. If you’re looking for something slightly cheaper, Neutrogena has their Micromist Tanning Spray, which comes in an aerosol can but goes on like an airbrush.

The two most common uses for airbrush makeup is cosmetics and tattoos, which are mostly done by professionals. Airbrush tattoos look similar to regular tattoos, but only last for a few weeks. Airbrush makeup is becoming highly used in the entertainment industry because of HDTV. Programs that are broadcast in high definition are like a microscope against the actors skin, causing flaws to be more visible than on regular television. Airbrush makeup is also faster to apply than regular makeup and does not rub off easily, making it a great choice for TV. Since all of the perks to using airbrush makeup sound so appealing, slowly but surely cosmetic companies are rolling out at home airbrush makeup. Sally Hensen Beauty makes an airbrush foundation called Fast and Flawless, which comes in an aerosol can. Dior also makes a similar product, called DiorSkin AirFlash.

Airbrush makeup is a new idea for the general public, but its benefits are promising. This type of makeup is a great solution for anyone who wants a flawless finish without having to worry about their makeup coming off on their clothes, or worse yet, someone else’s clothes. Although it’s a major step away from regular tanners and cosmetics, it’s definitely worth a try.

The Face
All the makeup applied to the face takes great ease to get it just right, and face cosmetics are no exception. It is important that your concealer and foundation is applied evenly. But before you get started, make sure to prep your skin. Your face should be clean with a moisturizer as a base. The best tools to use for foundation are your fingers. This allows you to feel exactly what you’re doing. Sponges and powder puffs can be useful as well, especially for applying concealer and for blending. Start at the forehead by dotting a small amount of liquid makeup. Using two fingers, spread the makeup across your forehead in a semi circular motion. Continue to spread a thin amount over your entire face, and below your jaw line to avoid noticeable lines.

The Cheeks
Now you’re ready to give your cheeks a rosy glow. To apply makeup to the cheeks, if you are using a powder based blush you will first need a medium or large sized blush brush (the brush included with the blush itself isn’t recommended). If you are using a cream blush, simply use your fingers. Dip the brush into the blush, picking up a small amount of the product. Tap the brush against the side of the blush container to get rid of the excess. Start the brush on the apple of your cheek, on the side closest to your nose, and lightly drag upwards towards your cheekbones. Repeat this until you get your desired shade.

The Lips
Applying makeup to your lips comes in three basic steps: the liner, the lip stick and the gloss. Each step can actually be used on its own, if you wish to only wear a lip stick or lip gloss with no liner. Lining your lips does have its advantages, because it helps to create a barrier for your lipstick which stops it from spreading or smudging, to a degree. Make sure the lip liner is sharpened before using it. Draw a line following the shape of your lips, starting in the middle of the top lip. You can follow inside or outside the natural lip line, depending on how large you want your lips to look. Once this is done, fill in the liner to create a base that holds your lipstick. Lipstick is best applied with a lip brush. Drag the lip brush across the top of the lip stick, picking up a generous amount of the product. Apply the lip stick in the same fashion that you applied the lip liner, while leaving the edge of the liner exposed. After that you can add lip gloss to finish the look.

To choose between an eyeliner pencil and a liquid eyeliner mascara applicator is rather easy. The issue of which is best, whether liquid eyeliner or the pencil, doesn’t arise at all, if you have already chosen a liquid eyeliner mascara applicator.

Thousands of women use this little tool to apply eyeliner mascara on their face. More often, this makeup tool is in fact a short rod made of plastic or fiber, which, at the front end, is surrounded by a tight fitting, non slipping sleeve made again from plastic or fiber material. The sleeve has many radial fingers like that of the bristles of a smoothly rounded brush. These fingers are arranged on the sleeve with the help of many inserts called “finger collars”. These collars have equal number of fingers distributed evenly all along the surface.

How to Get Best Results Out Of a Liquid Eyeliner Mascara Applicator?
For safer and better eyeliner application, run liquid eyeliner mascara applicator away from the root of the eye or in the inside out fashion, all the while stroking the liquid eyeliner mascara on to the eyelashes. By stroking in an inside-out mode, you will be able to touch and correct even the tiniest of the eye lashes. Apply a stream of strokes, till you see the liquid drying out completely on your lashes. Now, the liquid will have completely covered all around the lashes.

Use the liquid eyeliner mascara applicator, even if you want to have multiple coats or want to apply an additional dash of color. But the essential secret of using the liquid eyeliner mascara applicator invariably lies in its maintenance, cleanliness and the steadiness of your hands. While applying, you may find it harder to control the movement of its handle. Thus you may wish to choose your own type of applicator based on your skill and confidence level. Choose the one that has a pointed end so that you can reach those difficult areas like the inner corners and smaller lashes. By choosing such an applicator, you can provide a uniformly looking mascara effects on your eyes.

If your eyes are smaller, just gently run a thin over the upper lid, so that it is even and inconspicuous. To open your eyes up, try out a layer of dark colored mascara, without relying too much on the liner itself. To enhance and look and to add a dramatic look, choose a darker shade for the lower eye lid. A well laid application will create a wide eyed look and an open eye appearance. While applying your liquid eyeliner mascara applicator, make sure that support your palm on your face with a steady hand, and get close to the mirror as far as possible.

Liquid eyeliner mascara applicator is perhaps a little makeup tool that can offer a wide range of options and choices compared to other makeup tools. By using this wonderful applicator, you’re not only adding a nice touch to you eyes, but also look comfortably presentable in that exotic evening party!

Taking care of a baby’s health is a big job and one that makes me break out n cold sweats at night. I have read too many articles online that have made me go into palpitations. Worrying about the health of a baby is bad for my health. One area that I seem to have a handle on is skin care. The skin of a baby is very sensitive and you need some special tools as well as skills to keep the rashes at bay and make your jobs at the baby changing stations a bit easier.

The first piece of advice I can give is to be diligent with your changing routine. It’s not a pretty job and nobody wants to do it. But, leaving a wet diaper on your baby for too long is the easiest way to invite irritation into their little lives. Get into the habit of checking every half hour or so and make sure that you know where the nearest commercial baby changing stations are before you need them.

Pimples on a baby’s face can be upsetting. Your best bet is to dry the oil from their cheeks with an oil absorbing cloth and then leave them alone. Babies don’t worry about their appearance and neither should you. Just let their bodies heal the blemishes on their own. Otherwise you may be causing undue pain, scarring and even possible infection.

Avoid powders. Talcum powder can irritate the breathing system of your baby and cause eye irritation that is much worse than a little skin irritation. Corn starch based powders are an invitation for yeast that will cause yeast infection on the skin and other areas. It’s better to just skip the powder.
The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to learn the difference between what can be treated easily at home and what requires medical attention. Most skin irritation is nothing to worry about. But, if something really worries you, you should not be scared to have it examined by your pediatrician. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Natural remedies for acne are an alternative to the harsh chemicals found in most over the counter medications or internal antibiotics used to treat acne. If you’re one of those people who are hesitant to use a product when they can’t pronounce all the chemicals on the ingredients list, then I don’t personally blame you. In my own acne remedy experiments, I have found my skin reacts much more positively to natural cures. Even when using over the counter products, having a little bit of a natural ingredient speeds things along and leaves my skin feeling less assaulted.

Tea Tree Oil
When I first tried to treat my acne, tea tree oil was the product of choice. Though my acne worsened as I got older because of hormones, tea tree oil fights bacteria-based acne well. Tea tree oil is a topical acne treatment and contains “terpenes”– this is a component produced by most plants as an essential oil, and in tea tree oil’s case, kills bacteria with very little side effects.

Tea tree oil products can come in cover sticks, but if you can’t get that to match your skintone, its typical form is a clear oil; no one will know you’re wearing it if you choose to use it throughout the day. 100% pure tea tree oil is also very easy to find.

Aloe Vera
Aloe, one of the cure alls of skin treatments. While some of the claims made for aloe vera are exaggerated, aloe vera is good for dealing with wounds and acne is, unfortunately, often like a series of little wounds. If you pick at your face often, or are trying to get over the habit (and you should be trying!), aloe might be a great natural remedy to help that along as you can heal what you’ve already picked at while healing your other breakouts without the sting. Aloe vera, like tea tree oil, also has antibacterial properties that can reduce acne and is easy to find in 100% pure format, such as with Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel.

Acai Berries
The health properties of the acai berry have been shouted from the rooftops in recent times. It’s high antioxidant content is said to have anti-aging properties. In general, “anti-aging” typically means “it’s good for your skin.” The properties of the acai berry help detox your body, and while it’s no substitute for a good cleaning routine of acne, there are sources that suggest eating more acai berries and getting more antioxidants will improve your skin’s health, which is going to help you battle acne.

I strongly recommend looking into acai berry juice if you plan to try acai berries; juice is by far the easiest way to get the benefits as long as it’s processed the right way.

Aromatherapy
Some sources claim that lavender or rose water are effective acne treatments. Biologically speaking, they don’t do much to cleanse your face or kill bacteria. The reason people have luck with these kinds of treatments is because aromatherapy can relax and reduce stress. And there’s nothing wrong with that; if you’re threatening to pull out all of your hair over your condition and want to treat your skin and enjoy aromatherapy, then these kinds of treatments will not worsen your acne, even if they don’t directly help.

They may not be effective if you suffer from bacterial acne, but if your acne is stress and hormone related and you’re at the end of your line, go ahead and boil lavender for a steam wash, and then rinse with rose water. Sometimes giving yourself a little personal spa treatment is important for a healthy mind.

Vitamins
If you’re lacking in proper vitamins, vitamin supplements may be a natural way to help your skin. Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and Zinc are all important to healthy skin. Zinc can be especially difficult to get in the appropriate amounts and helps more than ance. The reason it helps against acne is because it boosts the immune system. Good sources of zinc include baked beans, pumpkin seeds, and cheddar cheese.

If you feel you’re not getting enough of these vitamins, supplements may help you fight off acne.

Those working under a budget or feeling that the many chemicals found in acne treatment products may begin to feel that home remedies for acne are their new best bet. If you’re planning to treat your acne from home, the best thing to do is to learn about your own acne and be aware of what causes it. By now you may notice your skin is extra oily, extra dry, or simply suffering from bacteria (stop touching your face!). Regardless of the reason, there are several home treaments you can try.

Oily Skin
Oatmeal masks work great for oily skin; they absorb extra moisture naturally and gently. For an oil mask, cook oatmeal and keep it luke-warm to warm– you want it to be comfortable. Apply it to your face and let it sit for ten or fifteen minutes to give it ample time to take in your extra oils.

You can do this for as much as twice a day, but pull back if you’re getting dried out. Dry skin is just as bad for acne, and not to mention uncomfortably itchy and flaky.

Dry Skin
I find cucumber masks to be the best for dry skin, as cucumber has natural moisturizing effects and is still cleansing. (Personally, I don’t use home products anymore as my acne was a bit too strong, but the products I do use have cucumber still. That’s how much I like it.) Blend cucumbers, either with a blender or with some of your own mashing to make it into a paste. Apply the paste to your skin and leave sitting for ten or fifteen minutes.

Even if you have oily skin, or are in one of your oily skin periods, I would still success the occasional cucumber mask once a week or so as they help take out redness and it does clean your skin without actually adding oils to your skin.

Bacteria!
Stop touching your face!
Okay, even so, sometimes bacteria driven acne is hard to deal with. It’s usually the acne you see on your cheeks from resting your cheek in your hand, or around your hairline if you don’t wash your hair often enough. Yogurt masks work great for this because yogurt has live active cultures; these little microscopic buggers eat bacteria, so leaving a mask on for ten minutes or so will give them a chance to do their jobs.

Use plain, organic yogurt. There’s really no reason to go smearing sugars and extra fruits or vanilla on on your face. Eating yogurt, I find, actually helps too. It’s healthier to eat yogurt that doesn’t have high fructose corn syrup or excess sugars too, but when eating it, you’re more worried about the live cultures. When they’re in your body, they boost your immune system, and that can help with some people’s acne.

Quick Fixes
When you’re red, inflamed, and feeling like a mess, the fastest way to take care of yourself is to boil a washcloth (to sterilize it) then once it’s cool enough, to press the heat over your face and acne gently for about thirty seconds to a minute. This will take out a lot of the redness and open up your pores. It’s not a bad idea to do this before other treatments to make your skin more supple and readily able to be cleansed. Careful though: zits and pimples that are threatening to pop will be much more likely to open up after a hot washcloth facial as their pores are ride open. However, if they’re ready to open up on their own, it may be best to aid them the best you can.

Acne scarring is caused when acne heals, but can’t quite heal completely. Acne scars are not the red marks on your face left behind after an acne legion heals– those feel like scars and can stick around for a long time, but will heal within six to twelve months if you continue to care properly for your skin. That sounds like a long time, but continued treatment should keep the redness from being obvious and will help them heal even faster.

Actual acne scars appear as depressions or bumps in the skin and the surface is no longer smooth.

If you resist the urge to pick your face and do your best to treat your acne routinely, you can help prevent a lot of scarring caused by acne. Otherwise, you’ve probably heard that the only real way to treat acne scars is through laser surgery or other expensive procedures. For those of us hesitant about such treatments, there are a few home remedies for acne scars that can help make scars less obvious by improving the texture of the skin.

Vitamin E
Vitamin E has been a long reputed aid to the skin, and acne isn’t an exception. Applying vitamin E oil to your face may help lessen acne scars over time as it improves the condition and texture of your skin. No acne scar treatment is instant, but used routinely, you will notice that your scars fade.

Cucumber Face Masks
Cucumber paste, used as a natural remedy for acne, is also helpful in dealing with acne scars because it helps lighten scars. I do not suggest using lemon juice for acne scars (which has the same results), because lemons are acidic and can sting. Cucumbers, on the other hand, will not dry out and harm your face, but can still lighten scarring. When using it for scars specifically, you can avoid the paste mask and skip right to rubbing juice into your skin gently to leave in overnight.

The following remedies are not made from household items, but are treatments you can perform at home without the help of a dermatologist. They are also some of the most natural remedies for acne scars I could hunt down.

Vitamin C
Acne scar treatments focused on applying vitamin C to the skin can help lessen scarring if the scars are only mild depressions, as vitamin C with help plump your skin. (Just you skin– you won’t get chubby cheeks from this kind of treatment, fear not.) Treatments that use vitamin C as their active ingredient for acne scars include Dermajuv.

Elicinia
Elicina is a skin cream made primarily from snail secretion (which is collected without harming the snails), making it natural and organic. While used more commonly for other kinds of scars and burns, it can help with acne scarring as it will help to fade scars over time. It has a high price tag, however only a little bit of Elicina needs to be applied, so one jar should last quite a while if used properly. Elicinia also doubles as a topical acne treatment, not just for marks and scars on the skin.

Of the two, Elicinia is more natural than Dermajuv (though Dermajuv still uses plenty of natural ingredients), however I felt Dermajuv was worth mentioning for those who struggle with this and absolutely do not want to consider surgery for their acne scars.

Don’t Forget Exfoliating
Dead skin needs to be removed from your face so healthier skin can take its place. Acne scars will become less obvious and heal a little if you make sure to exfoliate your skin properly, but it’s a procedure to do carefully whether you use acne scrubs or exfoliate manually with a loofah.

Back acne is a form of body acne. Truthfully, acne can appear anywhere except for the palms and soles of the feet, but the back is one of the most common areas. This is likely because it is subject to so much irritation from clothing and hair.

But back acne remedies are where people find themselves stuck. It’s not as well advertised or focused on as facial acne, but it’s just as embarrassing to have to deal with. Some treatments overlap. Getting proper vitamins (vitamin A, vitamin E, and Zinc) as a natural cure for acne, for example, will help the skin on the rest of your body as much as it helps the skin on your face.

For the most part, any cure you find on this site is safe for your body if used on your face. However, the skin on the body tends to be tougher and thicker. While it’s safe, it may not be as effective, and your back can be difficult to reach. One of the important parts about treating acne on your back especially is making sure dead skin isn’t clogging your pours. It’s one of the few parts of the body I feel comfortable using acne scrubs on to exfoliate away dead skin. If you have a shower head that turns to a jet spray or massage setting, that can also help wash away dead skin from your back that might be a cause of acne.

Just like your face, picking at acne on your back or the rest of your body is dangerous and will not help it heal. It’s also more tempting– if people can’t see it, what’s the harm if it scars a little? The acne hurts right now. But the reason we want to prevent picking isn’t just to prevent acne scarring; it’s to help it heal permanently and have to deal with it– and pick at it– less often than we see it currently appearing.
